Leathercraft Tragacanth Leather Burnishing Gum 100ml FS

The burnishing gum penetrates deep into the leather fibers and keeps fluff from the roots for a long time. Contains natural wax to form a soft and durable film while retaining the natural texture and feel of leather.

Available in 12 different colours as 100g pots.  This product is water-soluble. You can use any finishing agent or pigment after you use it. It is also OK to use such as coloring with Koba Super or Kober after polishing.

Application

'Flesh' side of leather

1. Spread thinly on the leather. It cannot be used for brushed leather (nubuck, suede, etc.). If you have sensitive skin, wear vinyl gloves. Spreading with your finger is the easiest and most efficient.

2. When the gum is semi-dry, rub it with a glass plate. Fibers are held down, giving a wonderful lustre.  Or rub with a rag. Be careful not to apply too much force at this time, as the leather will stretch or the thickness will change.

Leather Edge

1. Take a small amount of gum on your fingertips and apply thinly to the edge. Wipe off excess gum as soon as possible.

2. When the gum is semi-dry, polish it with a edge slicker to reduce fibres. Polish with a soft cloth..
